1. What is a Generator?

2. Generator construction

If you know the construction of a generator, operating the machine will become easier. The structure of a generator consists of many parts and components that are installed together. Specifically:

- Engine:

This is an extremely important part, it can be said that this is the heart of the generator. It is the input mechanical power supply of the generator. The raw materials used to operate the engine are usually gasoline, oil, natural gas ...

- Generator head (Dynamo)

This is considered the second most important part of the generator's structure. It performs three functions: power generation, rectification, voltage correction.

The rotor is the moving part that generates the magnetic field. The structure of the rotor includes a steel core, winding wire and machine shaft.

The stator is the fixed part of the generator. Acts like a magnet, acting with the rotor to create movement. The stator is composed of electrical conductors wound in coils on a hollow core cylinder.

- Fuel system:

This is where the fuel is stored, connecting the fuel from the fuel tank to the engine so that the engine can operate. Fuel system includes fuel tank, connecting pipe, fuel pump, filter tank, injector, ventilation pipe… Each part holds an important function. They support each other to ensure the task of supplying and coordinating fuel in the generator to operate the machine more smoothly.

- Dashboard

The main function is to control all activities of the generating set, protect and display and synchronize.

- AVR voltage stabilizer:

Is the part that regulates the output voltage of the machine. It is responsible for ensuring that the voltage level is within the allowable limit, and for stabilizing the current in different conditions.

- Generator structure: Cooling system

The generator when operating will be hot and affect the operation of the machine, the cooling system will ensure the durability of the generator, increasing operational productivity.

- Generator structure: Lubrication system

Any generator must have an oil-operated lubrication system that lubricates the engine to help it operate reliably and smoothly for a long time, thereby prolonging the life of the engine.

The task of the charger is to keep the generator's battery full, without interrupting the transmitter in the middle.

3. Working principle of generator?

The working principle of the generator is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction.

It can be roughly understood that when the impact makes the magnet or coil rotate. It will alternately increase and decrease the number of magnetic field lines from the magnet passing through the coil cross-section. If the phenomenon of increase and decrease occurs, the induced current in the coil also appears. At the same time, the current also alternates direction.

In addition to the principle of electromagnetic induction, generators also operate on the basis of magnetic force when acting on an electric current.
