We are seeking a highly motivated R&D Engineer to join our team and drive innovation in power generator technology and energy solutions. This role involves designing, testing, and improving power generation systems, including alternators, engines, and control systems. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a passion for engineering, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge solutions.
• Research and develop new generator designs, alternator technologies, and hybrid power systems to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Evaluate and integrate new materials, components, and technologies to improve reliability and sustainability.
• Work on energy smart systems, energy storage and hybrid solutions (e.g., IoT system, solar-diesel hybrid, battery backup systems) to align with industry trends.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, and thermal simulations for power generation systems.
• Design and optimize components such as stator windings, rotor balancing, cooling systems, and fuel efficiency improvements.
• Develop CAD models, electrical schematics, and technical drawings for prototyping and production.
• Conduct performance tests, durability analysis, and failure investigations of generators and components.
• Define test procedures and ensure compliance with customers’ requirements, and/ or industry standards.
• Work with the Quality and Production teams to resolve manufacturing issues and optimize production processes.
• Manage R&D projects from concept to production, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Manufacturing) to implement new solutions.
• Engage with key suppliers and partners to explore emerging technologies.
• Prepare technical reports, test results, and design documentation.
• Ensure products meet safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, orrelated fields.
• 2+ years of experience in R&D, product development, or engineering roles in power generation, alternators, or energy solutions is a plus. If not, Huu Toan Group is willing to train the employee.
• Strong knowledge of power generation principles, alternator design, and electrical machines.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent) and simulation tools (ANSYS, MATLAB, COMSOL, etc.).
• Experience with generator performance testing, thermal analysis, and material selection.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot electrical & mechanical issues.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with hybrid power systems, renewable energy integration, and energy storage.
• Knowledge of control systems, embedded programming (PLC, microcontrollers), and automation
